And Byt og Flyt offers two-way match scores and MitID verification, which we have not been able to find on Hjembytte.

Will I lose anything by switching?

Hjembytte claims access to 15,000+ users via its Swedish parent company, giving it a larger user base than Byt og Flyt at this time. Many users therefore advertise on both platforms simultaneously — it only takes a few minutes to create a free listing on Byt og Flyt. Hjembytte also offers a digital swap application which we don't have yet (but it is on the roadmap).

Is Byt og Flyt really free?

Yes. The basic version is 100% free and includes unlimited messages to your matches, listing creation, and access to search. We offer optional Premium from 29 DKK/mo (launch price) if you want to message users without a match — but this is not necessary to find a swap. You can cancel Premium at any time with no commitment.

What happens to my Hjembytte subscription if I switch?

You'll need to handle that with Hjembytte directly. Note that Hjembytte's subscriptions are auto-renewing according to their own terms and that remaining days are not refunded on cancellation. You can sign up with Byt og Flyt now (it's free) and let your Hjembytte subscription expire naturally.

How many users are on Byt og Flyt?

Byt og Flyt is a newer platform with a growing Danish user base. The user count is smaller than Hjembytte's — so we recommend many users keep listings on both platforms while the platforms grow. We prioritize quality (verified Danish users, MitID, Danish support) over quantity.

What's the difference between a swap platform and a rental platform?
